Over 60 years ago at what became known as the Battle of the Bulge, troops fought for their lives not only against a determined enemy, but against the elements.
A cryptic message was transmitted to the encircled troops on Christmas Eve:
"abcdefghijkmnopqrstuvwxyz"
What did it mean?
There was no 'l' - Noel!
